PLANT CARE TIPS
Begonia maculata – Polka Dot Begonia
LIGHT: Needs medium light, will grow best in bright indirect sunlight. Keep away from direct sunlight.
WATER: Water the plant when the top of the soil feels slightly dry. Let the pot drain completely and never allow the plant to stand in water. In winter, water sparingly and allow more time between each watering so the soil has time to dry a bit more than usual.
TEMPERATURE: Begonias prefer warmer temperatures, temperatures above 15oC are preferable, they will thrive between 18oC and 25oC. This particular variety of Begonia is not very tolerant of cold temperatures.
GROWTH: These are very easy to grow and can make a good plant choice for the beginner. Begonias can be easily propagated from stem cuttings in soil or water.
